FRANCHISING

How is a franchised business different from other business models?

Answer:

There are many ways to start a business. Whether you start on your own or buy a franchise, you will be an independently owned and operated business owner. You’ll run the business, set your schedule, hire employees, pay taxes and do everything on your own (or hire help). When you buy a franchised business, you don’t have to start from scratch. The franchisor provides the brand, processes, training, customers and business support systems (such as sales, marketing, billing and collections) so you have a playbook to follow. In return you pay royalty and support fees to the franchisor and agree to follow their system.

Does Coverall offer financing to Franchised Businesses?

Answer:

Yes, Coverall offers on a portion of the Initial Franchise Fee. We also offer financing options on new equipment and supplies, additional business and Coverall-branded apparel.

What experience do I need to run a Coverall Franchised Business?

Answer:

People who buy Coverall Franchised Businesses have a variety of life experiences. Most have not run a business before. About 10% served our country in the military or are veterans. If you are willing to learn, then Coverall can teach you what you need to know about owning and operating a franchised commercial cleaning company.

How can I learn about Coverall Franchised Business opportunities?

Answer:

Start by reading about franchising opportunities on our website, then complete an online form, and one of our local support center General Managers will contact you, or call your area center. Then, schedule some time for a franchise overview and presentation. Then, you will need to get details by talking with Coverall and reading our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Each Coverall Support Center has a person who can answer your questions about franchising. Attend a Discovery Day or open house to see the Support Center and meet people, or request a one-on-one business meeting.

What is a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)?

Answer:

The FDD provides prospective franchisees with information about the franchisor, the franchise system and agreements so that they can make an informed decision about investing in the franchise. By law, a franchisor cannot sell you a franchise until the franchisor has presented you with an FDD. Coverall will give you a copy of our FDD when we meet (“disclose you”).

What is a Janitorial Franchise Agreement (JFA)?

Answer:

Your relationship with Coverall is governed by the Janitorial Franchise Agreement (JFA). The Janitorial Franchise Agreement (JFA) is the contract that you sign to buy a Coverall Franchised Business. It explains what you can expect from Coverall and what Coverall requires from you. The JFA and the Franchised Business Policies and Procedures Manual are the ruling documents for your Franchised Business.

Why do I have to wait 14 days to purchase a Franchised Business?

Answer:

Receipt of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) is governed by the “14-day rule.” The franchisor must give you 14 days to read the FDD and think about your decision before you sign the franchise agreement.

Will I have a flexible schedule as a Franchised Business?

Answer:

As an independent business owner, you are in charge of your business schedule. Your customers will request service during their “off hours,” which are usually between 8pm and 5am, and they like you to be in their facility at the same time each night. But, flexibility is one of the benefits of owning a Coverall Franchised Business. Balancing your customer’s needs with your personal schedule is up to you.

CLEANING & SYSTEMS

How much does office cleaning cost?
Answer:
Size of your facility, frequency of service, complexity, building layout and your specific cleaning needs are a few factors that affect pricing of commercial cleaning services. Basic service for a small office once or twice a week can range from about $170 to $250 per month. Basic service for a larger facility can range from about $800 to thousands of dollars per month. Special services, such as cleaning carpets, buffing or refinishing floors, or window washing, are offered at rates competitive in your market.
How is price calculated?
Answer:
A Coverall representative will discuss your expectations, priorities and budget, then measure your cleanable square footage and review the condition and layout of your facility. Using that information, the consultant will create a proposal and Service Plan for you. Pricing is based on ISSA industry standard rates for the services included in your Service Plan. Be wary of janitors who give you a price without seeing your facility and talking with you about your needs.
Do you have a National Accounts program?
Answer:
Yes, Coverall offers special pricing and service programs to customers with multiple locations, such as a regional or national footprint. One contract for janitorial services can alleviate many headaches. Contact our National Accounts team for info.
